Leaf Pendent

This week we have been making our own pendents to wear as a necklace. What we started with was some salt dough, then we rolled it into our shape we chose, I chose a leaf. Here is a example of mine:

Broken-Rock, Paper, Scissors

In Writing we had to write about a short film we watched, we also had a choice that we could have been a character that was in the story or retell the story. Here is a example of mine:

As I climb out of my rock pile, on my tall footed mountain. Crawling and listening. “I hear something” I freeze. I look at paper. As I watch her twirl around creating nature, I bravely look at scissors, chopping and swiping down all the tall trees. I grip onto a small rock. Suddenly I start tumbling down the steep mountain.Bump! As I slam against the cold pavement, paper runs to me. Quickly the paper trees then start touring down one by one.

pizza persuasive

This week we have been doing our homework on pizza, I decided to create a kiwi pizza that was a little bit different and it represents New Zealand by the kiwi- fruit.I picked a dessert pizza also to be different. Also the base is made of honey, olive oil and flour.

Before I jump, I don't look down, of course I don't worry except all these questions flowing through my mind. Should I be doing this? Is it dangerous? Then I run of time

To the Unknown Soldier

We have been doing letters for inquiry in our class to a unknown soldier for Anzac Day,Here is my letter...

Dear unknown soldier,As I write this letter to you, I am sitting in my classroom on the high table with friends thinking about all the gun shots, all the darkness and blood. Just all plain black and grey. I am unlike you. Safe, not worried and free away from war. Able to run, laugh, smile. I am 10 years old. I wanted to write this letter to you so I    can express my thoughts.Were you in world war 1 or world war 2? How did you feel saying goodbye to your family? Did you have a wife and kids or any parents who were happy and helpful who went to war and came back with unhappy faces and who came back really grumpy and sad. Thanks to you now that I’m free and safeIts not at all fair that you go and we get protected! Were you conscripted? I have learnt that the women's have studied to be nurses to help bandage and plaster broken bodies.I also learnt that when you get medals passed on through the family and you want to wear it you put it on the right side of your t-shirt, when you earn it you put it on the left side.What went through your mind when you saw dead people around      you?I can not imagine coping seeing dead people. In the darknessno trees, just empty.Did you suffer? Thank you for fighting for our country,Today we remember you.

My Story

I froze. All the sentences were repeating through my head. Am I going to fall, will I make it. I was cold as ice. The wind surrounded me like a swirling tornado. The lights distracted me. I felt scared and frightened, like I was going to fall onto the gravity grey concrete.

I was quite embarrassed because everyone could see me!  I went all goose bumpy. If I didn’t have a jumper on I would be extra freezing!

When I looked down I saw people cheering for me to carry on, yelling, “keep on going”,“never give up”!

“well then”, I said to myself, “I better get started”. So I carried on.

I jumped off the boat, heading for the biscuit. It was very freezing when we had to walk through the cold sea to the biscuit. My heavy sister had to lie on me so I wouldn't fall off the biscuit into the sparkling glossy ocean. I held on to the handle on the green, blue biscuit. I felt the water squirting on to my face.Seagulls squawking, laughing, the motor on the boat hotting getting ready to go into the ocean. I saw the big green hills and the shiny ocean. I was very nervous for my first go. I was yelling SLOW DOWN but my annoying sister wanted to go faster. We saw some of my family shouting GO, over at the camping ground. I’m surprised that i didn't fall off. It was getting pretty dark, when we jumped off the biscuit. The waves started to calm down, and the lights started to shine.
